WOW! 8 Months
Wow, where has the time gone?!? Oliver is 8 months already and our days are super busy and fun! Mondays we are at home relaxing, doing chores and running errands. Tuesdays and Thursdays we are at Sugar-N-Spice. I teach 1 of the 4 classes of toddlers and have 7 kids in my class. They are a lot of fun and keep me on my toes! we have a lot of fun painting and playing lol. Oliver loves being in the infants class. He has several little friends that he likes to interact and talk to and his cousin Jordan is also over there with him. His teacher is Mrs. Ellen who also is in our bible class on Sundays and Daniel and I went to school with both her and her husband. Oliver really enjoys Mrs. Ellen and the other teachers that are over there as well. Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays are always random depending on my spa schedule so some days we hang out with either Aunt NaNa (Deanna) or Grandma (Denise). Sundays are busy with church and small group and we love bible class! Wednesdays we will sometimes attend Ladies Bible Class at the church and the older ladies love to give Oliver cuddles and Kisses and he in return loves hanging out with them and showing off, this next class I think we may be too busy and have to go to the children's class but he will for sure love watching the kids and playing. Oliver is eating more solids now and absolutely loves food. He loves bananas, strawberries, avocados, apples (basically anything fruit) lol. He does not like refried beans, black beans, or green peas (he will actually throw up after eating peas) His sleep schedule is still pretty close to the same, goes to sleep between 10-11 wakes up either at 2 or 4 to eat and again around 6. he still comes to our bed early in the morning to get the last few hours. We usually get up between 7-8:30 depending on the day and activities planned. A few weeks ago the school was hit hard with a stomach bug and sadly Oliver got it as well. He had the 5 day one and it really took its toll on him and us but mostly him. We had it coming out on both ends and when we took him to the doctor he had lost 2 lbs in a few days and because it was almost over (took him on the 4th/5th day and the bus were 3/5 days) the doctor decided against putting him in the hospital because she didn't want him to catch anything else while up there at this time of the year and at so young so we were told to monitor his weight very closely and push pedialyte and thankfully we were good and he has gained what he lost plus some haha. This happened right before thanksgiving and sadly we were not the only ones in the family to get hit so we ended up having to postpone Thanksgiving by a few days but it all worked out really well. We are very excited for Christmas and to watch Oliver open and play with his presents! We have had some great news lately in our family, Jordan (our foster niece) is improving and learning so many new and exciting things. They had the trial for parental rights and it was a week long jury trial, very stressful and exhausting all around for those involved but thankfully the parents rights were terminated and they will never have contact with any of their children ever again!! They have 21 days to appeal and then it will go to federal and their criminal trial is in January so hopefully we will get even better news then and the adoption process can begin! Oliver is getting big, he has another check up in about a month (no shots this time) so we will know better his weight and height then. He is pulling up on anything he can, loves to play "chase" and peekaboo, he loves to play on our bed, he loves to bounce and jump and fly and wrestle and hang upside down haha your overall boy. He now has 2 bottom teeth that he likes to use quite a bit he will also rub them with his tongue and thinks its funny. His hair getting thicker and a little longer and he drools all over the place. He met Santa twice so far, the 1st he would stare at him and thought he was pretty neat and the 2nd one he screamed for the first 5 minutes and then realized he was an okay guy lol our lives our crazy but oh so fun and we are so excited to watch him grow and develop such a cute personality!!

Oliver 3 Months
So Oliver has just recently turned three months and is growing like a weed!! We had our 2 month shots and they were not fun, not fun at all! He cried and screamed of course but slept the rest of the day. Later in the evening we had a rough time and had to take some tylenol to help us out. Our sleeping at night is getting a tad better, most of the time we only have 1 feeding around 2 or 3 in the morning and then we might make it til 7 by ourselves or come into mommy and daddys bed around 5. We love to wiggle around on mommy and daddys bed in the mornings while they are getting ready and then after and exhausting amount of play we take about a 3-4 hour nap hopefully (its a better day when this nap is long) WE are eating between 3-5 oz at a time now and gaining great weight. He now weighs 14.2 lbs and 24 inches long! I have officially started back to work and am now at Avalon Day Spa! We also are leaving today for our Bike MS Ride!
Here are some facts about Oliver:
1. Oliver is starting to not want to snuggle as much... :(
2. He loves to wiggle on his mat and talk to his monkeys
3. He has accomplished tummy time and now enjoys it longer
4. Still loves to eat and lets you know if he isn't finished lol
5. He is a morning person unlike mommy and daddy haha he will talk himself silly and smile like crazy
6. He still loves bath time... A lot!
7. We enjoy sitting outside and watching everything, get upset when its time to go inside
8. Oliver is getting much better at swatting objects and grasping them
9. He LOVES his hands and puts them in his mouth all the time therefore turning himself into a slobber bucket
10. He is learning to spit and blow bubbles and its super cute, I am hoping one of these days I can catch it on video
well this is all I have time for right now, Got to go pack for our ride!

Adjusting to our new way of life
Well Little Man has reached the 1 month mark (more like month and a half now but oh well) and we are adjusting really good! Mommy has night duty for sure so that daddy can function at work the next day and night time duty is not that bad...most of the time lol
Oliver usually sleeps anywhere between 2-4 hours, sometimes he has gone to 5 or even 6 hours between feedings depending on how tired he is and how big the bottle is. He is sleeping in his pack-n-play beside me and we vary on how he sleeps (swaddled or not swaddled) he does good with both just depends on his mood. Lately he has really wanted his arms out and above his head haha just like mommy. We take our paci just to help calm but luckily he doesn't need it to sleep and he doesn't ever really look for it. He takes a LONG time waking himself up so mommy is usually awake 30 min (sometimes longer) before he is ready to feed so I TRY to use that time to prepare a bottle and pump if needed but other times I end up falling back to sleep until he is upset and then I have to rush to get his food ready lol. Most of the time between 4 and 6 am he usually makes it into bed with us about that time because he starts getting very twitchy and fussy and instantly calms down when he is by us so then we can sleep longer (especially mommy, *wink *wink)
Then in the morning we wish daddy a good day at work and we either take another nap, go for a walk or hang out and watch the birds out the window and finish eating. We try to go on a walk at least every other day whether its in our neighborhood or out by the trails while daddy rides. We love walks! On Monday's we go grocery shopping for the week and we like that a lot too (not for a long time though of course) Other times we hang out with mommy and cuddle while watching tv, hang out in swing while mommy cleans or does other chores and thats really about it. I start back to work on Wednesday, June 4th and ill be part-time, working only wednesdays, fridays and saturdays. I am ready to start back but yet not really ready to leave my bubba :( oh well I will have mondays and for summer time tuesdays and thursdays to hang out with him. Starting in the school year I have been accepted to teach one of the toddler classes at the Monterey Church of Christ daycare program on Tuesdays and Thursday!! Super excited to be working with kiddos again and that oliver will get to hang out in the same place with me while making new friends as well and being close to cousins and family. My sister-in-law is the art teacher there so we will all be together! So thats about all the new stuff that has been going on around our household. I will be cleared for biking again in the next week or 2 so I can start training for our Bike MS Ride which will be interesting haha. Well to end this blog I will share a few fun things about Oliver:
1. Oliver loves to snuggle!
2. He loves going on walks whether its in the stroller or the carrier
3. He loves to eat and if you take the bottle away for a burp or anything before he is ready he will let you know!
4. He is one gassy little dude! He can fart with the best of them and has been known to wake us up at night and scare himself haha
5. He is now starting to smile while awake and it is so fun to watch, he is pretty happy all the time
6. He loves bath time and will talk to you the entire time. He hates getting out but then as soon as he is snuggled in the towel he is happy again
7. He loves looking out our bedroom window, watching the mobile on his swing spin and listening to music
8. He loves stretching and moaning to wake himself and us
Well thats about all I can think of for now!
